Dr.Tomofumi Uto completed his Ph.D. at the age of 28 years from Kagoshima University, Japan. He is an Associate Professor at Division of Immunology, Department of Infectious Diseases, Faculty of Medicine of University of Miyazaki, Japan. His research interests are mainly focused on the study of the role of dendritic cells (DCs) in the control of immune responses. In the last years, he focused his scientific efforts on the study of the immunosuppressive molecules expressed on DCs to regulate antitumor immunity. At this conference, he will present one of his research projects on the development of tumor immunotherapy with an immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) targeting a novel immune checkpoint molecule expressed on DCs.
