Dr. Gil-Olarte (PhD) is a Professor of Social Psychology at the University of Cádiz. She is a founding member of the Emotional Intelligence Research Group HUM-843, the Emotional Intelligence Laboratory, and the University Institute of Research for Sustainable Social Development (INDESS) at the University of Cádiz. Her research has focused on the study of Emotional Intelligence and the development of emotional competencies and psychosocial and organizational aspects, signing Collaboration Agreements with the Municipal Women's Foundation of the Cádiz City Council and the Cádiz Football Club Foundation. Nowadays, she focuses her research on the study of the quality of life of women with breast cancer, promoting interventions in emotional competence that allow them to improve their personal, social, and occupational well-being. She is currently coordinating the psychological team of the project.
Currently, Dr. Gil-Olarte coordinates the psychological team of the project “Improving work ability and return to work rates in breast cancer survivors. PRODIE-WA: a randomized controlled clinical trial”. Grant (PID2021-125056OB-I00) funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by ERDF/EU.
