Dr. Rocío Guil, (PhD) is a Professor of Social Psychology at the University of Cádiz. She is a founding member and director of the Emotional Intelligence Research Group HUM-843 and the Emotional Intelligence Laboratory. Additionally, she is a founding member of the University Institute of Research for Sustainable Social Development (INDESS) at the University of Cádiz, and she is responsible for the associated group "Psychological, Social, and Emotional Factors Related to Quality of Life" at the Biomedical Research and Innovation Institute (INIBICA). In addition, she has signed several collaboration agreements to study emotional intelligence to improve the quality of life in different populations and diseases.
Dr. Guil has published several articles and books on emotional intelligence and emotion regulation, and she has supervised numerous doctoral theses. She is the principal investigator of the project “Improving work ability and return to work rates in breast cancer survivors. PRODIE-WA: a randomized controlled clinical trial”. Grant (PID2021-125056OB-I00) funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by ERDF/EU.
